The simple need to create something new, boredom, bands which split up  and many other fortuitous events initially lead to the foundation of Ancient Season.

In summer 2002 Marco, Nöbi, Gäbu, Martin and Andy met for their first official band exercises. The new-born band was a patchwork consisting of older experienced musicians and younger newly-discovered ones. A good bunch for creating  unusual and original sound. Their Songs are a mix of Classical Music, Metal, Jazz and Rock, but in their own way also a unity.

Four months after establishment, Ancient Season got the possibility to record two Songs in conjunction with Keyboarder Gäbu's Matura Essey. This was the first opportunity to get a positive feedback from neutral people and a new motivation to go back to work with even more dash. Things develop, girlfriends came and went, new guitars were bought, a small recording studio was constructed...

However, Ancient Season grow up to a sworn bunch of pals...

Up to now, Ancient Season are able to revert to more than ten songs. Easiest way to describe their style might be to call it Progressive Metal. Their songwriting is influenced by bands like Dream Theatre, Evergrey, Symphony X, Adagio as well as by Bands from different genre like Depeche Mode...
